Printed Maßkrug steins – the classic for festivals & beer tents
Having a one-litre Maßkrug printed for a festival, beer tent or company Oktoberfest books the biggest stage for your logo. We print Maßkrug steins in stoneware and glass – for festival hosts, sponsors and breweries, with the year or festival motif on request. Small runs of logo Maßkrug steins are possible too.
Stoneware steins – a material with tradition
Seidel, Seidla, Humpen: the stoneware stein is the most original of all beer vessels – shaped from stoneware clay, glazed and fired at up to 1,300 °C. Solid, durable and pleasant to hold. If you have a stoneware stein printed, you get both from a single source: traditional material and modern, permanently fired-on decoration. That is exactly what the big online print shops cannot offer – hardly any of them stock stoneware.
Printed steins are also in use at weddings and large celebrations – with a stein for every guest, from 25 units. The small sizes (0.25 and 0.35 l) are popular as “champagne steins” – for the reception and the tapping ceremony.

Three techniques, one standard: your design, permanently on the stein
Glass, porcelain, stoneware: our steins are made of materials of natural origin that have been in use for centuries – and win people over with their longevity. The fired-on print plays its part: designs that do not peel off turn the stein into an everyday object for years, not a throwaway item.
Production takes place at our site in Langenmosen – with solar power from our own roof: in the summer months our kilns run on 100% self-generated solar electricity. We source the unprinted ware from Germany and Europe; printing, firing and shipping all happen at the site. That saves unnecessary transports of semi-finished goods.
Pewter lids for beer steins
On request, we refine your printed beer stein with a lid made of pure pewter – handcrafted in Germany, cast directly onto the stein and engraved with a motif or lettering if desired. All details and models: Pewter lids.
Printing beer steins: frequently asked questions
From how many units can I have beer steins printed?
At Granvogl you can have beer steins printed from just 25 units – with no upper limit, from a small club series to a 50,000-unit order. Larger quantities get cheaper per unit because the fixed printing costs are spread across more steins.
What does it cost to have beer steins printed?
The unit price depends on model, quantity and printing technique. Send us your design and quantity – you will receive a free, non-binding quote. An overview: Prices.
How quickly are printed beer steins delivered?
All stein models are in stock at our warehouse – there is no waiting for raw ware. From print approval it usually takes 15–20 working days until delivery.
Is the print dishwasher-safe?
Yes, all our printing variants are dishwasher-safe. For pubs and industrial dishwashers we print ceramic fired-on (approx. 840 °C): the decoration fuses with the glaze and stays permanently scratch-proof even under the pressure and heat of a commercial dishwasher. Can I have beer steins printed with our club crest?
Yes, that is our daily business. Thanks to screen printing, even intricate crests and fine line weights come out cleanly. Just send us your logo file – we check the print data and get in touch if anything needs adjusting. So far, no order has failed because of print data.
Can the steins additionally be printed with individual names?
Yes. The same logo or crest on every stein, plus a different name on each – we print that as a series, for example for club members, the team or the workforce. Simply include the list of names with your enquiry.
Which printing techniques are available for beer steins?
Screen printing (brilliant fired-on colours), transfer screen printing by hand (large areas, free positioning) and sandblast engraving (permanently engraved into the material). Which technique suits your design is something we clarify in the consultation.
Can you print our corporate colour exactly?
Yes. Give us the Pantone or HKS values of your colours. Ceramic fired-on colours have a limited palette; for special shades such as neon or specific CI colours we use our low-temperature colour system – also dishwasher-safe. Which variant suits your design and use case is clarified during the print data check.
Where do the steins come from?
The raw ware for Granvogl beer steins comes from Germany and Europe – no goods from the Far East. Printing, firing and shipping take place exclusively at our site in Langenmosen (Bavaria).
Can I get a sample in advance?
Yes – simply use the “Request a sample (unprinted)” button on the respective product page. For unprinted samples we only charge a flat rate of €12.50 net for shatter-proof packaging and shipping – and we are happy to credit it back when you place your order.
Are there beer steins with pewter lids?
Yes: pewter lids made of pure pewter, handcrafted in Germany and firmly cast onto the stein – with engraving on request. All models: Pewter lids.
