For restaurants and hotels we therefore always print ceramic fired-on at approx. 840 °C: the decoration fuses with the glaze and stays scratch-proof. We print coffee cups for you on stackable models for full cupboards and on thick-walled espresso and cappuccino cups with saucers. That way your brand is on the table with every coffee.
Mugs as your own product: merchandise and editions
Would you like to have mugs made that you sell yourself? Whether merch mugs for your brand, an artist edition with your design or stock for your online shop: we produce from 25 units, so the run size works for young companies too. On request we take care of the packing: each mug in its own box, with your label, ready to ship. That way, mugs with your own logo arrive with you ready for sale, and all you have to do is send them out. Labels and shops most often choose our GR91 mug without handle for this, a simple 250 ml porcelain beaker.

For cup sets, including the canteen set, the minimum quantity of 25 units applies to the whole set; you can split it across the cups as you like, as long as they all carry the same design in the same size.
Sustainably produced – with solar power from our own roof
Porcelain is a material that lasts for years: a mug is used every day and is an everyday object, not a throwaway item.
Production takes place at our site in Langenmosen: photovoltaic systems on the company roof supply the kilns, in the summer months with 100% self-generated solar electricity. The unprinted mugs come from Europe; printing, firing and shipping all happen at the site. That saves transports of semi-finished goods.
Printing mugs: frequently asked questions
From how many units can I have mugs printed with my logo?
At Granvogl you can have mugs printed with your logo from 25 units, and from 50 units in 4-colour printing for photorealistic designs. There is no upper limit, from a small run for your team to an order of more than 50,000 mugs.
What does it cost to have mugs printed?
The price per mug depends on model, quantity, print size and technique, so Granvogl calculates every quote individually and free of charge. As the run grows, the unit price drops because the fixed printing costs are spread across more mugs. How quickly are printed mugs delivered?
Granvogl usually delivers printed mugs 15 to 20 working days after your print approval. If you have a fixed date, such as a trade fair or a company anniversary, mention it in your enquiry straight away: we check the current workload and tell you what is possible.
Are printed mugs dishwasher-safe?
Yes, both of Granvogl’s colour systems are dishwasher-safe: the ceramic fired-on print as well as the low-temperature colours. For restaurants and hotels we always print fired-on, because only this print stays permanently scratch-proof in a commercial dishwasher. For mugs with a matt hydroglaze we recommend hand washing so that the glaze lasts. Details: Our print in the dishwasher.
Can you print our corporate colour exactly?
Yes, Granvogl prints your corporate colour to Pantone or HKS value: give us the values and we mix each colour to match. Ceramic fired-on colours have a limited palette; for special shades such as neon or specific corporate colours we use the low-temperature colours, which hit such shades true to colour. If the whole mug is to carry your corporate colour, there is hydroglazing. We are happy to clarify which variant suits your design and use when you enquire.
What print data is needed?
For solid-colour printing, Granvogl needs your logo as a vector file (a graphic that can be enlarged to any size without loss of quality; your agency usually has it), for example in .ai, .eps, .svg or .pdf format. For CMYK printing (4-colour printing), image files such as .jpg, .png or .tiff in sufficient resolution are enough; logos in fixed corporate colours we still need as vectors. If you do not have a vector file, we convert your graphic at low cost and give you the file for your further use as well. So far, no order has failed because of print data. More: Print data.
Can the logo also go on the inside, the base or the handle?
Yes, your logo can sit on the front or all the way around, on the handle, on the inside wall of the mug and on the base, outside as well as inside. No position has its own minimum quantity; only the shape sets limits: without a handle there is no handle print, and on bulbous mugs all-round printing is restricted. Can we supply our own mugs for printing?
Yes, Granvogl also prints supplied mugs, from 25 units. Porcelain can always be printed; for other ceramics we check in advance whether material and surface will take the print. Just send us the dimensions, material, quantity and a photo of the mug. More: Printing third-party and own goods.
Is there a sample in advance?
Yes, the unprinted sample is free; you only pay the packaging and shipping fee of €12.50 net, which we credit against an order. You can request it via the “Request a sample (unprinted)” button on the product page. We make a printed sample for approval once the order has been placed; free of charge for larger orders, otherwise we charge for it depending on the technique.
Can you print mugs with our club logo, also with individual names?
Yes, Granvogl prints mugs with your club logo from 25 units, as a series with individual names on request. Each mug then carries the same logo plus a different name, for example for members, the team or the coaching staff. Simply include the list of names with your enquiry.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, Granvogl ships worldwide, so far including to the USA, Japan and the Seychelles. Most of the volume goes to Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We quote shipping costs and, for deliveries abroad, the transit time in our offer.
How are the mugs packed, also individually and ready to ship?
From 25 units, Granvogl also packs your mugs individually or as a set, ready for postal shipping to your customers on request. The standard is a carton of six at no extra cost. Individual and set packaging is available plain or with your print. More: Packaging and shipping.
